Academy Dress Code
Year 10 and 11 Dress Code
Students in Year 10 and 11 are expected to wear:
- A black or white shirt
- Black trousers* or a pleated black skirt at knee length
- Black leather or leather look shoes
*Black trousers, formal/regular, straight leg must be worn on the waist. No leggings, jeggings or jeans are allowed. No zipped pockets, denim style or stretch material allowed.
Students can choose to wear:
- A black with no logos
- The black branded STEM sweatshirt
- The long sleeve STEM branded quarter zip PE top (no other quarter zip tops will be allowed)
- A black blazer
- A tie of their choice
Students should remove any outdoor clothing (coats, hoodies) once they are in reception.
Jewellery, Hair and Make Up
- No more than two studs in each ear
- No other facial piercings (clear nose studs can be worn)
- Subtle, natural make up can be worn
- No false eyelashes
- No fake nails due to risk of injury in workshop environments. Nail varnish can be worn
- Students with long hair must have a hairband to tie hair up
- Students are expected to have natural hair colours. Hair must be a single natural colour; therefore, treatments such as dip-dyeing are not permitted.
PE Dress Code
On PE days, students attend in PE kit all day.
- All students are expected to have the STEM branded long sleeve quarter zip PE top.
- All students are expected to wear black or white sports socks with trainers.
- Students should wear the STEM branded short sleeve PE top or a plain black t-shirt. On their lower half, students have a choice of wearing:
- STEM branded shorts
- STEM branded full-length joggers.
- STEM branded plain black sports leggings
