At BMAT STEM Academy, our 100-minute lessons are designed to give students more time to learn, think and succeed. Longer lessons allow teachers to explore topics in greater depth, check understanding carefully and provide individual support or additional challenge where it is needed. With fewer lesson changes during the day, less learning time is lost to moving between classrooms and settling into lessons, creating a calmer and more purposeful learning environment.

The extended time is particularly valuable at STEM Academy, where practical, technical and project-based learning forms an important part of our curriculum. Students have the time to apply their knowledge, develop practical skills, solve problems and complete meaningful work without being rushed. Most importantly, our 100-minute lesson structure gives students the opportunity to become fully immersed in their learning, build independence and develop the knowledge, skills and professional behaviours they will need for further study, employment and their future careers.
