Announcement
Monday-Wednesday 14-16th December UPDATE
Dear Parents and Carers,
Yesterday the department of education announced that schools could change the end of term arrangements allowing students to isolate before seeing loved ones over the holidays. As a result, BMAT STEM Academy, along with all other BMAT secondary schools, will be making the following changes to next week:
Monday 14th: School as normal. This will be the last day students will be coming into school. Students may wear festive attire.
Tuesday 15th: Lessons will take place remotely via TEAMS. Students will need to login to TEAMS during their scheduled class times. This is now the last day of term.
Wednesday 16th: No school. Originally, this was the last day of term and it was to be a half day. There now will be no school on this day.
Having the last day of face-to-face learning take place on the 14th means that any child who contracts Covid in school on that day will be out of isolation by the 24th and will therefore be able to spend Christmas day with their families.
Please continue to notify the school of any positive cases up until the 20th December. You can e-mail me directly if this were to happen.
This has been a fantastic term and the students have been brilliant. We look forward to seeing the students on Monday, hopefully in festive wear, to wish them happy holidays.
We hope that everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday season.
Yours sincerely
Mr D Schuyler
