GCSE Results 2024

Posted: 22nd August 2024

Schools in multi academy trusts benefit from sharing resources, expertise and staff. In Harlow, our schools also share a close community.

This week, our community has been rocked by the tragic loss of one of our students.

As a BMAT school, we share the grief experienced by our colleagues, friends and families and offer our condolences to those closest to Dishone Lloyd at Mark Hall Academy.

While we celebrate the successes of our students on results day, we have Dishone in our thoughts.

A record number of students are staying on for further studies at BMAT STEM Academy Sixth Form.

Year 11 students returned to school today to collect their GCSE results.

Among the celebrations, students collected the first set of results in further maths after the business-focussed school added the subject this year.

Just some of the top performing students this year are –

  • Micah Hamilton who achieved Grade 8 in maths and Grade 7 in physics, statistics and further maths. He will stay on at BMAT STEM Sixth Form to study maths and physics
  • Taygan Harris whose highlight was a Distinction* in engineering
  • Illr Hazizi achieved Grade 8 in the sciences, as well as Distinction* in engineering and Grade 7 in statistics

Dave Ramsey, head of centre, said: “We are so proud of our students who have worked with increasing drive and determination.

“We look forward to welcoming a record number into our sixth form, as well as supporting other students as they move on to apprenticeships and college.”
